About York County Crime Stoppers
York County Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1987. It is operated by an all volunteer, civilian board of directors. Crime Stoppers is funded by community donations and fundraising efforts. The purpose of Crime Stoppers is to: assist in the reduction of Crime in York County; make reward money available to those providing valid information about crimes; and to motivate the citizens of York County to cooperate with Law Enforcement. Crime Stoppers is based on the principle that someone, other than the criminal, probably has information that is valuable in solving a crime. All calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and treated as protected information.
